◼️これ。「クレメン」というブランドの「グリフォ・ネーべ」というレーシング・タイヤの残骸です。その昔、このタイヤは一本14,600円の定価でね。そりゃあもうお高いタイヤだった。レーシングと称するその筐体はなんと絹。そこに貼り付けられた（手作りということね）特有のトレッド模様がなんともいえず興味をそそったものです。「あの細さはなんやねん 」「一体どんな走りをするのだろう？ 」「履いてみたいなー」そんな感じ。
タイヤの高額さもさることながら、このタイヤを履くにはリムまでもタイヤに合わせて変えなきゃならない。結局のところわたしはこのグリフォ・ネーべを手に入れられず、このタイヤでダートを走ることはなかった（同じモデルの27インチ・バージョンは使用経験あり）。それどころか、この20インチ・バージョンのグリフォ・ネーべは過去から現在まで、一度たりとも現物を目にすることはなく、記憶の片隅に追いやられていたタイヤなんです。しかし一昨日、ひょんなところで見つけてしまったんですよねー。これ。目にした途端に「あー！ 」なんて声をあげてしまいました。思わず、ホイールごと購入。とはいえ、今や加水分解でコナコナし、使用できるような状況ではないのですけれどね。しかしこんな状態でもグリフォ・ネーべはグリフォ・ネーべ。眺めているとなんだか嬉しくなるから不思議なものです。40年経って「やっと」手に入れたグリフォ・ネーべは残骸だった。しかしなんだかとっても豊かな気持ちになる。そんな きょうの眺め .
